Exciting weeks for the Shirati Peanut Project
With the Shirati Peanut Project, we organised a two-day training for all RCHC nurses (nurses responsible for vaccinations and assessing proper growth) in the Rorya district concerning knowledge and assessment of malnutrition. Over 50 nurses, spread out over 2 days, participated very enthusiastically, in particular in the practical when practicing the measurement of MUAC (Middle upper arm Circumference). Thanks to our dietician Stella who gave the training, together with the district nutrition officer Kamese. We will hopefully get the chance to repeat this training next year.
