Last month we welcomed our twelfth local staff member. Winnie Walter has been hired as project coordinator for the Healthy Hearts Project. In that role, she will run a free walk-in cardiovascular clinic every Wednesday, provide education for colleagues in and outside the hospital, and organise outreaches around Shirati and beyond in the Rorya District.

Winnie has started working with great enthusiasm. Under her leadership, we expect to soon include the one thousandth participant in the project!
